Dua Industries

In Shahdara, over at Gali Number 8, you will find Dua Industries at 30/39A. It’s a bit of a maze back here, but that’s just how this neighborhood is. We have a small facility where we manufacture things. It’s a local operation, and most of the guys working here live nearby. We don’t have any big corporate offices or fancy meeting rooms. There is a small desk where we do the accounts and the rest of the space is for production. The machines hum all day long. Sometimes it gets a bit hot in the afternoons, especially in the summer, but we keep the fans going. We focus on making sure the items are made right. We don’t have a marketing department telling us what to say. We just talk to our customers directly. Usually, people find out about us through word of mouth. Someone knows someone who bought from us, and then they show up at our gate. We’ve been at this address for years. The street outside is narrow, so we have to be careful when we are loading the tempo for deliveries. It takes a bit of patience to work in a place like this, but we are used to it. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. It’s a steady life and we’re happy to be part of the local scene here in Shahdara, even if the work is sometimes loud and the days feel long.
