Doing Job In Taj Palace Hotel

Our spot is in Vasant Gaon, right at A-15, which isn't far from Subroto Park. If you know Delhi Cantt, you know it's a bit more open and green than the rest of the city, but our street is still pretty lively with people. We basically support the workers and the daily operations for the Taj Palace Hotel from this location. It’s a lot of coordination every day. We have people coming in and out at all hours because the hotel never closes, so there is always someone around. The office itself is quite plain and simple. We have a few wooden chairs and a big table where we keep the rosters and the logbooks. Sometimes the uniforms come here for sorting or cleaning. We drink a lot of tea to stay awake during the late shifts or when the workload gets heavy. It’s a practical setup for us. We don't have fancy decorations on the walls, just a few notices and an old clock that ticks quite loudly. The neighbors are mostly families who have lived in the village for a long time. They see us coming and going and usually give a friendly nod. Working near the Cantt area means it’s relatively safe and quiet at night compared to the main city. We spend our time checking schedules and making sure everyone knows where they need to be. It’s hard work, and the hotel is very different from our small room here. We just focus on the task.
