Dlf Shopping Mall, Delhi

Down in Haji Colony, specifically at N-6 in Jamia Nagar, things are usually pretty busy. We’re connected to the Dlf Shopping Mall name, but this particular spot is where the actual day-to-day happens. If you know this part of New Delhi, you know how the streets can get. It’s crowded and noisy, but it has a lot of life to it. We spend most of our time here just managing whatever comes our way. Sometimes it’s dealing with paperwork and other times it’s just making sure the basics are covered for the mall operations. It isn't a glamorous office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s a real place with real people who’ve been working together for a long time. We know the neighbors and the local shopkeepers. Some mornings start with a lot of chaos, especially when deliveries are trying to get through the narrow lanes. We don't really do the whole corporate speech thing. We just tell it like it is. If something is broken, we fix it. If a task needs doing, we sit down and finish it. It’s a lot of manual work and staying on top of small details that most people wouldn’t even think about. We’ve been at this N-6 address for a good bit now, and it feels like home even when the work gets stressful or the heat gets to be too much in the summer months. It is just our way of keeping things running.
