Our place, Dinesh Kapoor & Com., is located at F-25 in Kondli, which is part of Mayur Vihar Phase 3. It’s a busy neighborhood and we are right in the thick of it. The office is basically a room filled with files and a few sturdy desks where we handle our business. Dinesh is usually around, making sure things are moving along, or he might be out meeting someone. We don’t really do the whole polished corporate look here. We have a ceiling fan that makes a bit of a clicking sound and a water cooler that everyone gathers around when it gets hot. Most of our work involves a lot of reading and checking details, so it can be quiet for hours, followed by a sudden burst of activity when a deadline shows up. The area outside is always full of life, with people heading to the markets or the bus stop. We’ve been at F-25 for a good while, so the neighbors all know us. We don’t have a big mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just think it’s important to show up on time and do the work honestly. If a customer comes by, we offer them a chair and maybe a cup of tea if the kettle is on. It’s a very standard, small-scale office where we just try to keep the books in order and the clients satisfied without any extra drama.
