Diamond Engineer

Diamond Engineer is over here at Anand Parbat, specifically Street Number 10 at PP-6A. It is a busy place, mostly because of all the metal work and parts we deal with every day. The shop stays open pretty early and we don't really close until the work is finished for the night. Most days it’s just us surrounded by tools, oily rags, and heavy machinery that sometimes makes too much noise. People come by looking for specific parts or help with a fix that they can't manage at home. We have been in this spot for a while now. The street gets crowded with delivery trucks and other shops nearby, so it’s always lively. Our hands are usually dirty by noon, but that is just part of being an engineer around here. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. It is just a workspace where things get handled. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we spend hours trying to figure out why. It takes patience. There isn't much to say other than we work hard and try to get things out the door on time. If you walk down the street you can probably hear the sound of the drills or the grinding wheel. It is a simple life of fixing and making stuff. We take our breaks when we can, usually with a cup of tea from the guy around the corner. That’s pretty much how it goes in this corner of the city. We keep the floor as clean as we can, but it's tough with all the metal shavings everywhere.
