If you find yourself in Hauz Khas Main Market, look for D 86, and that’s where Dharmender Communication is. This market is always moving, especially in the afternoons when the students and shoppers start showing up. Our shop is right in the middle of all that action. It’s a small space, but we make it work with what we have. I usually start the day by sweeping the front step because the main market gets a lot of foot traffic. D 86 has been our address for quite a bit, and we’ve seen shops around us change owners, but we’re still here doing our thing. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves with phone accessories and some old chairs that have seen better days. It isn't a showroom, just a practical place for people to get their phones fixed or buy a new SIM card. My cousin helps out sometimes when it gets really busy, but usually, it's just me behind the counter. We know the chai wallah across the street pretty well, and he brings us tea a couple of times a day. It’s a lot of work staying open in Hauz Khas because the competition is everywhere, but we just focus on the person standing in front of us at the counter. That’s how we’ve always handled things at Dharmender Communication. We just stay open until the market starts to quiet down at night and it is time to head home.
