Our office is tucked away in Balbir Nagar, Shahdara, right on Street No 14A. It is a very crowded and lively part of Delhi, and our building fits right in with the rest of the neighborhood. We handle a lot of the back-end stuff for our food business from this location. It is mostly about making sure the inventory is right and the staff at the different outlets have what they need to keep the kitchens running. The office itself is usually full of files and boxes, and the phone seems to ring every five minutes with someone asking about a delivery or a shift schedule. We don't have a lot of space, so things can get a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time. You can hear the sounds of the street outside all day long, from the rickshaws to the local vendors. We spend a lot of time looking at spreadsheets and checking off lists of supplies like flour, oil, and packaging. It is the kind of work that isn't very visible to the customers eating in the restaurants, but it is what keeps the doors open. We usually take turns going out to get tea or snacks from the local shops nearby. It is a busy, unpolished place, but we have a good rhythm going and everyone knows what they need to do to keep the business moving forward without needing anyone to tell them twice.
