We have been running Dev Telecom here in Shahdara for quite some time now. Our shop is tucked away in Gali No 6, right at D 133. If you know this area, you know how busy it gets with people walking by and scooters everywhere. It is a small place, really just a room with some glass counters and shelves full of phone cases and chargers. I usually open up in the morning and stay until late evening. Most days are spent helping people with their mobile recharges or trying to figure out why a battery isn't holding its charge anymore. It isn't anything fancy or like those big stores in the malls. We just have the things people need daily. Sometimes the fans are loud, and it gets a bit warm in the summer, but we are used to it. Neighbors stop by not just for phone stuff, but sometimes just to chat for a minute while they are out getting groceries. We keep a decent stock of basic accessories because that is what everyone asks for. It's a bit messy with wires behind the counter, but I know where everything is. This street has changed a lot since we started, but we are still here in the same spot. It’s a simple life, just fixing what we can and making sure people have their phones working. Nothing more to it than that, really. We just keep going one day at a time.
