Desi Vibes

If you are looking for us, we are tucked away in Room 31 of the Ghulam Sarwar Jamil Hostel. It’s right there at the A&U Tibbia College in Karol Bagh. It’s a bit of a trek to get to the room sometimes, especially when the hostel is busy with students running around and carrying books. Desi Vibes is basically just us working out of this small space. It’s not a corporate headquarters or anything like that. We have a couple of chairs, a desk that wobbles a little, and our stuff spread out everywhere. Karol Bagh is a loud place. You can hear the market noise and the bikes even from inside the hostel walls. We spend most of our mornings just getting things organized. It gets pretty hot in here during the summer months but we have a small cooler that helps a bit. People sometimes wonder why we are based in a hostel room, but it works for what we need right now. We don’t have fancy signs or a reception desk. You just knock on Room 31 and we are usually there. We handle everything ourselves, from the chores to the actual work. It’s a bit cramped when more than two people are inside, but it’s our spot. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a big building. We just do our bit and try to stay out of the way of the hostel warden. It’s a simple, messy, real life.
