If you ever walk down Abdul Rehman Road in Karol Bagh, you know how loud and busy it gets with all the scooter parts and mechanics. Our spot at 17/1026 is right in the middle of all that action. We aren’t a shop that sells parts to just anyone, we are more of a group for the people who work in this trade. There are many of us who have been in the scooter business for decades. This association started because we needed a way to talk about the problems we face on this road. Sometimes it’s about the parking issues or the new rules for shops. We sit around, drink tea, and discuss what’s going on in the market. It’s not a corporate office with fancy furniture. It’s just a room with some chairs and a lot of old papers. Most of the guys here have grease on their hands because they’ve been working on engines all morning. We try to help each other out when someone has a problem with their business. Karol Bagh is the heart of the scooter world in Delhi, and being on Abdul Rehman Road means we see everything. The association is just a way for us to stay connected and look out for the traders. We don't do any marketing because everyone in the local market already knows where we are. It’s a very practical, old-school way of doing things. We just want the trade to keep going.
