Delhi Metro Rail Corporation

This particular office is set up at Q.No.-4.F.28 in Obra Colony, which is down in Sonebhadra, U.P. It is quite a long distance from the main metro lines in the city, but this is where we handle some of the specific work for the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. The colony itself is a bit old-fashioned, with rows of quarters and lots of tall trees. It is a very quiet place compared to the constant rush and noise of New Delhi. We spend our days here dealing with various records and technical details. Our desks are old wooden ones and the files are usually stacked high in the corner waiting to be sorted. We do not have any flashy signs or glass walls like the main headquarters. It feels more like a government residential office because that is basically what it is. We follow the rules and make sure all the paperwork is sorted and filed correctly. Sometimes the power is a bit patchy in Sonebhadra, so we have to work around the outages. We usually bring our own tiffins from home and eat together on the small porch area when the weather is nice. It is a slower pace of life here, but the work we do is important for keeping the trains running smoothly elsewhere. We do not have a very big team in this specific spot. It is just a few of us who have been around long enough to know the system well. We focus on our tasks and make sure everything is filed where it belongs.
