Delhi Metro Rail Corpooration

The Delhi Metro Rail Corpooration office is located at M-55 in Saket, New Delhi. It is a busy part of town so there is always a lot of movement around the building. Inside it is mostly desks and people looking at blueprints or talking about train schedules. We are part of the metro system but this specific spot is where a lot of the planning and paperwork happens. It’s not like being at a station where everything is shiny and fast. Here it is a bit more slow and focused on the details. We have plenty of files and binders that take up most of the shelf space. The windows let in some light but we mostly rely on the overhead tubes. We take our breaks when we can and usually just grab a snack from the vendor down the street. Working in Saket means we are close to everything but the traffic can be a nightmare in the evenings. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the piles of paper get a bit out of hand. It’s just a group of us trying to make sure the trains keep running like they are supposed to. We don't have any big signs or flashy lights on the building. It is just a plain door that leads to where we do our work every day. It’s a job like any other really. We come in early and stay until the work is finished. That is life at M-55 for us.
