Deepak Telecom

I’ve been running Deepak Telecom at B 1 137 in New Moti Nagar for several years now. It’s right there in the middle of the residential area, so we get a lot of locals. Most days I’m just sitting behind the counter waiting for customers. We deal with sim cards, phone repairs, and all the usual stuff you find in a small neighborhood telecom shop. The space isn’t very big, so if three or four people come in at once, it feels very crowded. I have a lot of wires hanging around and tools scattered on my workbench. It probably looks like a mess to an outsider but I know exactly where everything is located. New Moti Nagar is a decent place to work, though parking near the shop is always a bit of a problem for my customers who come by car. I usually have the radio playing some old songs in the background to pass the time when it’s quiet. Sometimes the internet connection goes down and then everyone in the shop is frustrated, including me. I just do what I can to help them out with their mobile issues. I don't have any staff to help me, it’s just me working here most of the time. My son comes by after his school sometimes to help with the inventory. We have shelves of old phone models that nobody really buys anymore but I just keep them there anyway. It is what it is.
