Deepak Telecom is basically a small shop at A -78/79 in Lakshmi Nagar Guru Nanak Pura. I’ve been sitting behind this counter for years now. It’s not a big fancy place with glass walls or anything. We mostly have mobile phones and accessories stacked up on the shelves. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cramped because of all the boxes. The street outside Guru Nanak Pura is always noisy with people and bikes. We get a lot of local folks coming in when their screens break or they need a new SIM card. I spend most of my day just talking to people from the neighborhood. It’s a busy life here in Lakshmi Nagar. The sign for Deepak Telecom is a bit old and maybe needs a new coat of paint. We open the shutters early and stay until the market closes. There is a tea stall nearby that brings us chai twice a day. That’s usually the highlight of the afternoon. Dealing with electronics can be a headache when the power goes out, which happens more than I’d like. We have a few stools for customers to sit on while they wait for their repairs. It’s just a simple business at A -78/79. We don't do any big advertising. People just find us because we’ve been here so long. The floor gets dusty from the road, so I end up sweeping it three times a day. It’s just how things are for us.
