Deccan

We are based out of House No. 12 L 36/1 on Old Rangpuri Road. Being in Mahipalpur means we are right in that busy stretch of New Delhi near the airport. It is a bit of a maze back here with all the narrow roads and houses, but we’ve made a home for Deccan in this spot. It’s not a fancy office building, just a regular house that we’ve converted to work out of. Most days it’s pretty quiet inside, despite all the planes flying overhead and the traffic on the main road. We do a lot of our business over the phone and through the computer. The walls are a bit thin and you can hear the neighbors sometimes, but it doesn't bother us much. We’ve been here long enough that the local shopkeepers know us by name. We don't have a lobby or a receptionist; you just walk in and someone will be there at a desk. It’s a very grounded way to work. We handle our daily tasks without much drama. Sometimes we have to deal with the typical Delhi issues like water or heat, but we just manage. There isn't any corporate polish here. We just focus on the day-to-day operations and making sure we don't fall behind. It is a practical space for a practical business, and that is exactly how we like it. We have a small kitchen in the back where we make our tea and it feels quite cozy.
