Danat Resorts

If you travel out to the Nainital district in Uttarakhand, you can find us at Vijaypur Farm in the Dhamola area. Our place is called Danat Resorts, but it feels a lot more like a farm than a big commercial hotel. We are tucked away from the main town, so it’s much quieter here. Most of the staff comes from the local villages nearby. We spend our mornings walking the grounds and making sure the gardens are okay. The weather can be a bit unpredictable in the hills, so there is always something to fix or look after. We don't have a corporate office or a big marketing team. It’s just a few of us who live and work on the property. We keep the rooms clean and make sure there is enough food in the kitchen for anyone staying with us. Sometimes the power goes out during a storm, and we have to run the generators. It’s a very hands-on kind of job. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just provide a place for people to sleep and enjoy the fresh air. It’s a simple lifestyle out here in Dhamola. We like the pace of life and the fact that we aren't surrounded by city noise. It is much better for the soul to be near the trees. We just take things one day at a time and try to keep the place in good shape for our guests.
