Dana Choga

This place is called Dana Choga and we are located out in the village and post office area of Nathwawala, specifically in Raipur near Dehradun. It’s much quieter here than in the middle of the city. You can actually see the trees and feel the air change when you get closer to the mountains. Our address is 248001, and we’ve been operating out of this spot for a while. The building is simple, fitting right in with the other structures in the village. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that; we just have a few people who show up every morning to get things ready. Sometimes the rain in Uttarakhand makes the roads a bit muddy, which slows things down, but we just deal with it. The kitchen smells like spices most of the morning. We have a small yard where some of the staff sit during their break to catch the sun. It’s not a fancy setup with glass windows, just a solid place where we do our work. Locals from Nathwawala come by, and we know most of them by name. It’s a slower way of life compared to Delhi or Mumbai. We just focus on making sure the food is ready and the place is open on time. There’s no big mission statement, just a daily routine that we’ve followed for years. It’s just us doing what we know how to do in a beautiful part of the world.
