D C Tuteja

We’ve been at this spot on Asaf Ali Road for a good while now. D C Tuteja is basically just a few of us in a room with some old desks and a lot of papers. The address is 41373, which can be a bit tricky to find if you aren't looking closely at the doors. Outside, the road is always loud with traffic and people rushing to get somewhere else. We mostly keep the door shut to keep the dust out, but you can still hear the constant honking. It’s not a fancy office or anything like what you see in the new parts of the city. We have some wooden chairs that have seen better days and a small window that looks out onto the back. Usually, the day starts with tea and a look at whatever came in the mail. We don't really do much besides the work that lands on our desks. There isn't some big story about why we started or what we are trying to change in the world. It’s just where we come every morning. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit there talking until it comes back on. Most people who stop by are regulars who know where to sit. It’s a bit cramped when more than three people show up at once. We like it this way though, it feels familiar and we know where everything is kept, even if it looks a bit messy to an outsider.
