A Cherry Tree Wood

You can find us over at Vasant Kunj 36. To be honest, it is more of a workshop than an office. A layer of sawdust is almost always on everything, including the computer. We spend our days working with wood, trying to make things that people can actually use in their homes. Because of the saws and the sanding machines, it is noisy and not a very good place for a quiet conversation. Neighbors are used to the sounds by now since we have been at this location for a good while. It gets hot in the summer, so we keep the doors open to let the air move. No fancy showroom with lights and mirrors exists here. If you want to see what is being made, just walk into the back and look at the workbenches. Sometimes a piece of cherry wood has a knot in it that ruins the whole plan, and we have to start over. That is just how it goes when you are working with natural materials. Talking isn't our specialty; we would rather just get the sanding done. My hands are usually rough and stained from the oils we use. It is a simple life and the smell of the shop in the morning is great. There is no mission statement, just a bunch of tools and some wood. The back door squeaks every time someone opens it.
