Crystal Travels

Crystal Travels is a small travel shop located at Wz-3139 in Mohindra Park, which is part of the Rani Bagh area in Delhi. It is a very cramped and busy neighborhood, especially in the evenings when the markets are full. Our office is not very big, just enough for a couple of desks and some chairs for people to sit while we talk about their trips. We have maps and some old posters of airplanes on the walls. Rani Bagh is the kind of place where everyone knows everyone. People walk in just to ask about train timings or how much a flight to Mumbai costs these days. We use old computers that hum loudly, but they get the job done. Often, we are busy on the phone trying to confirm bookings or checking if a visa has come through. The street outside Wz-3139 is narrow, so parking is always a headache for anyone visiting. We usually have a fan going because it gets stuffy inside with all the electronics. We don't use any fancy booking systems that the big companies use; we just rely on what we know and the contacts we have built over the years. It is a simple life here, just helping neighbors and local families plan their travels. Sometimes we stay late when someone has an emergency flight, but usually, we shut the shutters by eight and go home.
