Crew Member

Our spot is on the third floor at 320/2 in South Ex-2. Being in South Extension means there is always something going on outside. The market is right there, so it’s never quiet, even in the early mornings. To get to us, you have to walk up the stairs since the building is one of those older ones without a big elevator setup. Once you get to the third floor, it’s a bit more peaceful. We work as crew members here, and the office is where we coordinate everything. There are heaps of bags and equipment sometimes sitting in the hallway. The space is a bit cramped because we have a lot of people coming in and out at different times. We have a small table where we sit to have our meals and talk about the day’s work. The windows look out over the rooftops of other buildings in the area. It’s a very urban view. We spend a lot of time on our feet, so when we are in the office, we mostly just want to sit down and catch up on the paperwork. The air conditioner struggles a bit when it’s really hot, but we make do. It’s not a polished place, but it has character and it’s right in the middle of everything. We like being in South Ex because everything we need is just a short walk away. It’s a busy life but it suits us well.
