Our branch of Cox And Kings is situated in Mandi, over in Himachal Pradesh. You can find us at H.No 101/2 in Purani Mandi. It is a quiet enough area compared to the big cities, but it has its own pace. Working in the hills is a different experience than being down in the plains. The air is better, though the winters can get pretty cold in the office. We have been at this address for a while now. The building is an old house that was converted, so it has that lived-in feel to it. It’s not one of those glass-and-steel offices you see in magazines. We have our desks set up in the main rooms and we mostly deal with people who walk in or call us throughout the day. Purani Mandi is an interesting spot with a lot of history. Most of us who work here grew up nearby, so we know the area like the back of our hands. We don’t really go for anything too formal. We show up, have our morning tea, and start looking through the schedules and files. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow when the weather turns bad, but we manage to get things sorted out eventually. It is a straightforward operation here. We just focus on the daily routine and making sure the records are kept straight in our little corner of the town without needing anything too fancy or modern.
