Cox & Kings

You can find us on the first floor over at 26/25 West Patel Nagar. It’s an old building, and the stairs can be a bit steep, so take your time coming up. This branch of Cox & Kings has been around this part of New Delhi for a good stretch. We aren't the big corporate headquarters you might see on TV; we’re just the local folks handling the day-to-day travel needs of the people in the neighborhood. Our desks are usually piled high with folders because there is always a lot of paperwork when people want to go abroad or even just across the country. We spend a lot of our time on the phone with airlines or trying to explain visa rules to people who just want a holiday. It gets pretty noisy in here when the afternoon rush starts, but we’re used to it. The air conditioner in the corner makes a bit of a rattling sound, but it keeps the room cool enough while we work. We don’t do much advertising because most people just know we’re here above the shops. It’s a practical kind of job, making sure tickets are printed right and dates don't get mixed up. We try to be careful because we know how much people look forward to their trips. It’s just us, a few desks, and a lot of coffee keeping things moving every day in West Patel Nagar.
