We are found at A-11 on the ground floor in Lajpat Nagar 1. You have to use the backdoor entry to get to us, which sometimes confuses people the first time they visit. It is a bit of a quiet corner compared to the main market area, which we actually prefer. The space inside is quite long and narrow. We have our desks lined up against the walls to make enough room for everyone to move around. Since we are on the ground floor, it stays a bit cooler than the upper levels, but it can get a little dark if we don't keep all the lights on. We have a small area near the back door where we keep our bags and a few umbrellas for when the Delhi rains start. The office doesn't have any expensive decorations or modern art. There are just some old maps and a few calendars pinned up. We focus on getting the work done rather than how the office looks. The sounds of the neighborhood, like the vegetable sellers calling out, drift in from the street sometimes. It is a very normal, local way to work. We've been in this spot for a while now and we know the other shop owners on the block quite well. It feels like a small community even though we are in a massive city like New Delhi. We just keep things moving along every day.
