Country Vacation

Our place is at P-244 in Raghuvir Nagar, over in New Delhi-27. It’s a fairly standard building in a busy neighborhood. We work at Country Vacation, which basically means we spend our time talking to families about where they want to go for their holidays. It’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls, really. The office isn't very big, so we all know each other’s business. We have a couple of ceiling fans that click when they’re on high speed. It’s just a regular office setup with some brochures scattered around the tables. Raghuvir Nagar is usually pretty loud with people selling things on the street and cars honking all the time. We get used to it after a while. Sometimes customers come in just to ask questions, and we sit them down and explain how things work. It’s not always easy because people have high expectations for their trips. We do our best to keep things organized, even when the files start piling up on the desks. We usually have lunch together around the big table in the back. It’s just simple food we bring from home. We don’t have a fancy reception desk or a lobby. You just walk in through the main door and one of us will look up from our computer to say hello. It’s a practical way to run things. We’ve been at this spot for a good while and the locals know where we are.
