Country Club

Country Club is situated on the second floor of TA-36/3 in the Tuglakabad Extension. This part of New Delhi-19 is very cramped and the streets are always full of people and scooters. Our office is up a flight of stairs that are a bit dark and narrow. Once you get inside, it’s just a standard room with some desks and a couple of cabinets for all our records. We’ve been here for some time now and the place has a bit of a worn-in feel. The fans overhead never seem to stop during the summer months. It can get quite hot in Tuglakabad, so we just drink a lot of water and keep working. There isn't any fancy decor on the walls, just some old notices and maybe a map. We handle various membership things and general inquiries from people who call in. It’s a lot of talking and typing throughout the day. We usually get our lunch from the small shops around the corner. The noise from the extension is always there in the background, but we don't really notice it anymore. We aren't a huge corporate headquarters, just a local branch office trying to keep everything in order. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to wait for the backup to kick in. It’s just the daily reality of working in this part of town. We just do our best to get through the pile of work on our desks.
