Costa Cruises, Europe Italy

It might seem a bit odd to have a cruise company office in the middle of Lajpat Nagar, but that’s where we are. We sit on the ground floor of B-4 in Dayanand Colony. New Delhi-110024 is a far cry from the ocean, but this is where we manage things for Costa Cruises, Europe Italy. People walk by the office all day on their way to the shops or the metro. Inside, we are usually busy with booking details or talking to people about trips they want to take far away from Delhi. It’s a lot of computer work and phone calls. Sometimes we have to explain things about the ships or the routes through the Mediterranean. The office is practical, just some desks and chairs and a lot of papers. We don't have a big showroom or fancy displays of ship models. Lajpat Nagar-4 is a busy neighborhood, so there is always noise from the street, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We just focus on getting the travel details right for whoever comes in. It’s funny to think about big ships while sitting in a ground floor office in a Delhi colony, but it’s what we do. We just keep track of the schedules and make sure the Italy side of things knows what’s happening with the passengers from here. It’s a decent way to spend the day and we keep it very low-key.
