Costa Cruise Lines

Our office is at 553/2 Bank Colony in Devli Village. It might seem a bit strange to have a cruise-related business in a place like New Delhi-110062, far away from any ocean, but this is where we work. The neighborhood is a mix of old houses and newer shops. We have a small space here where we handle all the communications. It is mostly computer work and long phone calls to people in different time zones. We sit at our desks and talk about ships and distant ports while the local traffic hums outside in Devli. The office isn't very big and we have files stacked up on the shelves. It gets quite warm in the summer so the fans are always going. We don't have any fancy displays or models of ships in the window. It is just a regular office where we get through the daily tasks. Sometimes we have to explain to people exactly where Bank Colony is because it’s tucked away. We spend our days making sure schedules match up and that all the documents are in order for travelers. It is a lot of repetitive work, checking names and dates over and over again. We just do our bit from this little corner of the city. We have been here for a while and the routine of the village has become part of our work life.
