Corporation Bank

We’re located at A 5/B/94 in New Delhi. It’s a local branch of Corporation Bank, and we’ve been part of this neighborhood for quite a while. Our building is pretty standard, and inside it’s mostly what you’d expect—counters, chairs for people waiting, and us behind the desks. We spend our days helping people with their accounts, sorting out deposits, and dealing with the usual banking paperwork. It gets really busy on the first of the month when everyone comes in at once. We’re just regular staff members who live around here or take the bus in every morning. We know a lot of the people who walk through the door by their first names. It’s not a high-tech, futuristic office. We still use a lot of paper and the occasional stamp. Sometimes the lines get long and people get a bit impatient, but we just try to keep things moving. We don't have any big speeches about what we do. It’s just banking. We make sure the money is counted right and the forms are filled out properly. It’s steady work. The air conditioning sometimes struggles in the summer, and the printers might jam, but we just fix it and keep going. We’re just here to handle the daily transactions for the folks in this part of Delhi. It’s a simple, necessary job that we’ve been doing for years, and we plan to stay here for many more.
