Our office is at A191 in Jhilmil Colony, which is in the Delhi-110095 area. If you know Jhilmil, you know it is a place where everything is packed together. The building itself is just a standard brick and concrete structure like most others on the block. We spend a lot of time at our stations, mostly looking at screens and talking. It is the kind of job where you lose track of time because there is always something to do. The neighborhood has its own rhythm, and we are just a small part of it. Sometimes the power goes out for a second before the generator kicks in, and we all just wait for the screens to light back up. We have a small area where we keep the water cooler and some snacks for our breaks. People come in at different times for their shifts, so there is always someone coming or going. The floors are a bit worn down from all the walking, and the desks are covered in notebooks and pens. It isn’t a fancy corporate headquarters with glass walls; it is just a solid place to work. We talk about the weather or the traffic on the way in while we wait for the elevator. It is a bit of a commute for some of us, but we make it work every day. We just focus on the tasks and get through the week together.
