Contract Work

We do various types of contract work out of West Patel Nagar. It’s a busy part of Delhi and there is always something that needs fixing or building. We don't have a big fancy office with a sign out front. Most of our work happens on-site at different locations, but West Patel Nagar is where we base everything. It’s where we keep our tools and where we meet up in the mornings. It’s a local operation. We aren't a big company with hundreds of employees. It is just a few of us who know how to get things done. We handle whatever jobs come our way, whether it's small repairs or bigger projects that take a few weeks. The traffic in this area can be a nightmare, so we try to leave early to beat the rush. People in the neighborhood know us and usually just call my mobile when they need something. We don't do much advertising. The work we do speaks for itself, and word spreads around. It’s hard work, and we get our hands dirty every day. Sometimes the weather makes it difficult, especially when it’s raining or too hot. We just keep going until the job is finished. It’s a practical way to make a living and we’ve been doing it for years now. We usually have lunch at one of the small dhaba nearby. It is simple but keeps us going. We enjoy the variety of work we get to do. Every day is a bit different.
