Our spot is over on Newington Road in Birmingham. It’s a typical West Midlands setting, often a bit grey and rainy outside. The building itself is pretty plain, just a functional space where we get the day's work started. We’ve been operating out of this B37 area for a long time. It’s not the most exciting part of the city, but it works for what we need to do. Most of us arrive early to beat the traffic, though that doesn't always work out. The office is usually humming with the sound of kettles and people talking over their monitors. We deal with a lot of logistics and planning here. It’s about making sure everything is where it needs to be when it needs to be there. There’s always a lot of paperwork to go through and emails that seem to never end. We don't have any of those modern office gimmicks like bean bags or ping pong tables. It’s just desks, filing cabinets, and people trying to stay on top of their schedules. Lunch is usually a quick sandwich at the desk or a walk down the road if the weather isn't too miserable. It’s a straightforward environment. We know each other well and we just get on with the tasks at hand. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when a big order comes in, but we manage to pull it through despite the constant rush.
