Pitampura is a fast-moving place and our spot at number 14 is right in the middle of things. The name Collection Dot Com might sound a bit modern, but the way we run things is pretty old-school. We open the doors around mid-morning after the worst of the rush hour is over. The shop is filled with various items we’ve gathered over time. I spend a lot of my day just moving things around to make sure everything is visible. It’s not a massive showroom, just a regular local shop where people come to find what they need. We have a lot of regulars who live in the blocks nearby. They stop by to chat as much as they do to buy anything. I usually have a radio playing in the background at a low volume just to keep things lively. The floor is tiled and easy to sweep, which is good because people bring in a lot of grit from the street. We don't have any fancy displays or bright flashing lights. It’s just shelves and counters with the goods laid out plainly. Sometimes the delivery vans have trouble finding us because the numbering on the street can be a bit confusing if you’re new to the area. But we’ve been here long enough that most people know the way. When it’s time to go, we pull the metal shutters down and that’s the end of another day.
