Cmcl (As A Travel Desk Officer)

Cmcl operates a travel desk from our office at C1/144 in Sector-5, Rohini. We are located in a quieter part of New Delhi compared to the center of the city. Our day-to-day work involves a lot of scheduling and talking to drivers. It is a functional space without any unnecessary frills. We have a couple of old desks and some filing cabinets that have seen better days. We do not really have a fancy sign outside, so you have to look for the house number to find us. Working as a travel desk officer means we are always looking at clocks and checking routes. It is a bit repetitive but we have a good rhythm going. The office is small and can get a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time. We drink a lot of chai and just get through the paperwork. We have been in Rohini for quite a bit and we like it here. It is a residential area mostly, so it feels more like a home than an office. We do not have a big corporate structure or anything like that. It is just us managing the travel needs for whoever calls. Sometimes things get confusing with all the different bookings, but we eventually sort it out. We just take things one day at a time and try to keep the cars moving on schedule. It is a lot of coordination but we are used to it.
