Club One Air Pvt Ltd is based out of House No. B-125 in Amar Colony, which is part of the Lajpat area in New Delhi. It might seem a bit strange to run an aviation business out of a house, but it works perfectly fine for us. We do not need a giant glass tower to organize flights. Most of our day is spent on the telephone or on our computers, making sure that planes are where they need to be and that everyone has the right paperwork. Lajpat is a very crowded place, so just getting to the office in the morning can be an adventure with all the rickshaws and cars. Inside the house, we have desks set up in different rooms. It feels more personal than a regular office. We drink a lot of tea and coffee to keep us going during the long shifts. Sometimes we are here very early or very late because flying does not follow a nine-to-five schedule. We do not have any slick slogans or mission statements posted on the walls. We just have flight charts and schedules. It is a lot of responsibility to handle private travel, so we try to stay focused even when the neighborhood gets noisy outside. We know the local shopkeepers and where to get the best lunch nearby. It is a small team and we just work hard to make sure everything goes off without a hitch for the people who rely on us.
