Our office is in one of those DDA flats in Hari Nagar, West Delhi. It’s block CD-26F, and it looks like every other flat in the area, so you have to look closely at the numbers to find the right door. It’s not a big corporate building with a glass front. We have a small sign outside so people don't get lost. Inside, it’s mostly just desks piled with passports and visa forms. The tea guy comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a short break. We’ve been operating out of here for a long time. People from the neighborhood stop by to ask about holiday packages or just to chat about current ticket prices. It gets quite loud when the traffic picks up outside. We deal with all sorts of travel stuff, from bus tickets to complicated flight routes. There is always a lot of paperwork to file. Sometimes the stapler runs out right when you’re in a big hurry. We try to keep things organized but with so many travelers, the folders just keep growing. It’s a regular job for us. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just booking trips and making sure the names are spelled right on the tickets. My desk is right by the window, so I see everyone coming and going in the colony. It’s a decent place to work, even if the air conditioner makes a weird rattling noise in the summer.
