Claragies Hotel

Down in Tuglakabad Extension, you'll find us at Rz 285 on Street No. 18. Claragies Hotel isn't one of those massive places with gold statues in the lobby. We're more of a practical setup. We have rooms, we have beds, and we try to keep things clean. That's about it. The street outside can be a bit narrow, and finding parking is a bit of a gamble sometimes. But we’ve been part of this neighborhood in New Delhi-19 for quite a while. Most of the staff live nearby, so we walk to work. We don't have a giant marketing team writing this. It’s just us. Sometimes the lightbulbs need changing or the water takes a minute to get hot, but we fix things as they come. It’s a lived-in building. We see a lot of different people coming through the doors, mostly just looking for a place to sleep for the night. We keep the registers manually mostly, and the keys are the old-fashioned kind. It feels like home to us, even with the noise from the street. We don’t do big fancy breakfasts, just the basics. It’s an honest way to make a living, and we like being here in the mix of things. It can get hectic when everyone checks in at once, but we manage just fine.
