We've been at 1868 Ravi Das Gali for a while now, right in the middle of Kotla Mubarakpur. If you know the area, it's pretty busy and crowded, especially near Roop Singh’s place. Most people just walk past us on their way to the market or the metro. We handle the financial paperwork and stuff that comes through the door every morning. It’s not a fancy office, just a desk and some chairs in a room where we get things done. Delhi heat gets a bit much in the summer, so we keep the fans going all day. Sometimes the power cuts out, but that’s just how it is around here. We see a lot of regular faces from the neighborhood. It’s mostly just us keeping track of numbers and filling out forms. It isn't anything flashy, really. We just show up, open the shutters, and start the day like everyone else in this lane. The street is narrow, so parking is always a headache for anyone visiting. We usually tell people to just take an auto. Most of our day is spent talking to folks who live nearby. We aren't trying to be some big corporate firm. We’re just here in the gali, doing the work as it comes. It's a small setup, nothing more than what’s needed to keep things moving. We drink a lot of tea while we work and focus on the tasks at hand.
