Citi Banquet, Panjabi Bagh

If you look for A-236 in Raghubir Nagar, you’ll find us there near Punjabi Bagh. We run this banquet space where people host their family functions and local events. It’s a lot of work keeping a place like this running, especially with the constant cleaning and setting up chairs. One day it’s a small birthday and the next it’s a big wedding with too many people to count. The kitchen area is always a bit chaotic when there’s a party going on, but the staff knows what they’re doing. We spend a lot of time moving furniture around and making sure the lights actually work when they are supposed to. Being in Raghubir Nagar means we get a lot of local families who just want a place to gather. We aren't trying to be the most expensive place in Delhi, just a functional one that gets the job done for the neighborhood. There’s always something that needs fixing, like a leaky tap or a scuff on the wall that needs some paint. We just stay on top of the maintenance as much as we can. It’s noisy and loud during the weekends, but that’s just the nature of the banquet business. We’ve been at this address for a while and have seen many families grow up over the years. We usually start the day by checking the floor for any mess left from the night before and getting the decorations ready for the next group.
