Cheif De Party

We are over here in New Basti, specifically Gali No-5. It’s a busy lane and it can be quite loud at times. My name is one of the folks here and we run Cheif De Party from this house, number 50/A1. Most days start really early because Anand Parbat is a place that is always moving. The kitchen gets pretty hot, especially in the summer months when the sun is hitting the roof, but we just keep at it. It’s not a big fancy setup with stainless steel everywhere. We have our heavy tables and the regular equipment we need to get things done. People around here in the colony know the house because we have been here for a while now. We spend our time handling the daily orders and making sure everything is ready on time. Sometimes the delivery bikes have a hard time coming down the narrow gali, so we end up walking the boxes out to the main road ourselves. It is just how things work in this part of New Delhi. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the work we do every day. The neighbors are used to the smells of cooking coming from our windows by now. It is a lot of long hours and standing on our feet, but that is what the job is. We do not really do any advertising. Most people find us because they live nearby. It is practical work and we try to keep things simple.
