Chawla Sons Industries

Our place is over on Old Rohtak Road in the Shahzada Bagh area. You’ll find us at 308/6. It’s an old building, nothing special to look at from the outside. Chawla Sons Industries has been around this neighborhood for quite some time. My father started things here and now we just keep it going. It’s a lot of manual labor, really. We’ve got the old machines that still work better than the new ones sometimes. The road outside is always crowded with rickshaws and lorries, so getting stuff in and out takes forever. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of metal and people shouting to be heard over the noise. We don't have a receptionist or anything. If you come by, you’ll probably find one of us with grease on our hands. We do what we do. No use making it sound more complicated than it is. We make parts, we pack them, and we send them out. Some days are slow, some days we stay late to finish up a batch. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to bother with that. It’s a family thing, mostly. We know the neighbors and the tea stall guy knows exactly how we like it. Just a regular shop on a busy Delhi road. We try to stay out of the way of the traffic when we unload.
