Central Information Commission

The second floor of this building in Sadiq Nagar is where we spend most of our time. We are in Sector II, at Q.No. 659. It’s a quiet area of New Delhi compared to the main hubs. Most of what we do involves handling a lot of documents and filing systems. The building is older, with high ceilings and those heavy wooden doors. There is a lot of paper around here. We have stacks of files on almost every surface. The windows look out over the colony, which has some nice trees. People come in with requests and we have to process everything according to the rules. It’s not a fast job, but it’s steady. We have a small pantry where we make tea and chat during the breaks. The fans hum constantly overhead. Sometimes the ink for the printers runs out at the worst time. We don’t really do any promotion because that’s not what we’re here for. It’s just an office where people come to do their duty. The hallways are usually quiet, and you can hear the sound of keyboards from the different rooms. We try to stay organized, even when the stacks of paper get a bit high. It’s a simple routine that we follow every day to keep things moving along for the public. We often have to dig through old records that haven't been touched in months. It's just part of the way things work.
