This hotel is sitting at G-5 in Ashok Vihar, and the best way to find us is to just head toward the railway station in Gurgaon. We are very close to the tracks, so you can definitely hear the trains coming and going at all hours of the night. It is a busy spot because of the commuters and people traveling through Haryana. We’ve been here for a good while, and the building shows a bit of its age, but we keep it tidy. The lobby isn’t huge, but there’s usually a chair for someone to sit while they wait for their room to be ready. We handle everything from the front desk, from checking IDs to handing out keys. There is a lot of dust from the station area, so we are always sweeping the front step. We don’t have fancy uniforms; we just wear what is comfortable for a long shift. People often come in late at night looking for a bed after their train was delayed. We just check the books and see what is available. It is a simple life here in Gurgaon. We know the guys at the tea stall nearby and sometimes they bring us snacks when things are quiet. Our day is mostly about making sure the sheets are washed and the lights are working in every room. It is just a regular hotel for regular people passing through. We don't have any big meetings or plans, we just stay open for the travelers.
