It’s a tight little street, so it feels very much like a community spot. We’re mostly dealing with mobile phones and all the little problems that come with them. You see a lot of people dropping in because their screen shattered or they dropped their phone in water. We have a workbench in the back where most of the actual work happens, away from the front counter. The front part of the shop is where we keep the cases and the earphones. It’s nothing fancy, just a few glass cabinets and some lights that flicker once in a while. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of us who know our way around a screwdriver and a soldering iron. It’s a lot of sitting and focused work, especially when the parts are really small. The neighborhood is always active, so there’s always something going on outside the door. We aren’t really into the whole big business vibe. We just open up in the morning, do what needs to be done, and close up when the day is over. Most people come in because they live nearby and don’t want to go all the way to a big mall for a simple fix.
