Down here at 3-B Shikshak Vihar Puri in New Delhi, we spend a lot of time thinking about how to keep things cool. It gets hot in India, as everyone knows, so there is always plenty to do with air conditioning and refrigeration. We’ve been at this address for a good bit now. It’s a practical spot for us to keep our tools and spare parts. When you walk in, you’ll probably see a few units opened up on the floor being looked at. We aren't some flashy storefront. Most of our day is spent out on jobs or sitting at the desk handling calls from people whose cooling has stopped working. It’s a lot of grease and mechanical parts, really. The team here is pretty small, but we’ve all been doing this long enough that we don't need to overthink it. We just look at the machine, figure out what’s wrong, and fix it. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just manual work and keeping track of schedules so we don't miss any appointments. Shikshak Vihar is a quiet enough area, which is nice when we come back from a loud job site. We just show up every morning, check the list, and start working. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy throughout the year. There isn't really much more to it than that. We just fix what's broken.
