Our office at 4/148 in Vaishali is where we spend most of our waking hours. Ghaziabad is a busy place and this neighborhood is no different. We have been here at this spot for a while, just handling the travel arrangements for folks who need them. It gets a bit noisy outside sometimes with the traffic, but inside we just focus on the computer screens and the phone calls. It’s not a large place. We have our desks pushed up against the walls and a lot of files stacked in the corners. Every morning we come in, open up the shutters, and start going through the emails that came in overnight. There is always someone wanting to know about a flight or a hotel booking. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. It is just a practical space where we can get the work done without too much fuss. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just how it is here. We know the tea seller nearby pretty well by now. The work is mostly just checking dates and making sure names are spelled right on the tickets. It is a lot of small details that you have to get right or people get stuck. We just keep at it day after day. Running a travel desk in Ghaziabad means there is never a dull moment.
