Carlson Wagonlit Travels

Carlson Wagonlit Travels sits on the first floor at 218 Vinoba Puri. We are right in Lajpat Nagar 2, which is a very busy part of New Delhi. You have to climb the stairs to get to us. The office is full of stacks of paper and old travel brochures. We spend most of our time looking at flight schedules on the computer. It’s not as glamorous as people think. We mostly deal with delays, ticket changes, and making sure the names are spelled right on the visas. The street noise from Vinoba Puri comes right through the windows. You can hear the rickshaws and the vendors all day long. We have a small kettle for tea, and that’s usually running every hour. People walk in with all sorts of questions about where to go and how much it costs. We don't have a big marketing budget. We just talk to the people who come up the stairs. It is a lot of work to keep track of all the different airlines and their rules. We’ve been at this for a long time. Some days are just filled with phone calls that never seem to end. We try to be helpful without making things sound too complicated. It’s just a travel office. We help you get from one place to another without too much trouble. We don't do anything fancy, just the basics of travel planning.
