We operate Carlson Wagonlit Travel Pvt Ltd from our office in Bokaro Steel City. It’s an interesting place to be located, right here in Jharkhand. Even though the address says 110027, we are very much a part of the local scene here. We spend our days sorting out travel plans for people, which usually involves a lot of back-and-forth on the computers. It’s a lot of looking at flights and hotel dates. The office isn't a big corporate tower or anything like that. It’s just a regular workspace where we sit and get things done. Some of us have lived in Bokaro for our whole lives, so we know the area well. People come to us when they have to go away for work or maybe a family visit. We don’t have a big sales pitch. We just look up the prices and tell people what’s available. Sometimes the systems go down and we have to wait, which can be annoying, but we deal with it. It’s a straightforward business. We show up, answer the emails, and help folks get their tickets. It’s not always glamorous, but it keeps us employed. We like the pace of things here. It’s mostly just us working through the piles of bookings every week and making sure everything is in order for the travelers. We try to be helpful and keep the paperwork moving along so nobody misses their flight or train.
