Capitol, Ashok Hotel operates out of Flat No- H-103 in Aram Bagh, which is right in the middle of Paharganj. If you have been to Paharganj, you know how crowded and loud it can get. Our office is in a residential-style flat, so it feels more like a home than a business sometimes. We have files tucked away in corners and a kitchen that we mostly use for making endless cups of tea. Working from H-103 means we are right in the thick of things. There is always noise from the street below, and the stairs up to the flat are a bit steep. We spend our time managing different tasks related to our work with the hotel and other bits of business. It is not a polished corporate environment. We have some mismatched chairs and a few desks that we've had for years. Sometimes the doorbell rings and it is just someone looking for a different flat, but we don't mind the interruptions. We are just a small team trying to keep everything organized. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have a small cooler that helps. We don't use big words or try to sound like something we aren't. We are just people working in a flat in Delhi, doing our jobs and trying to stay on top of the paperwork. It is a bit messy at times, but we know where everything is and how things work here, so we just keep moving forward with the daily grind.
