Cafe Coffee Day; Division Of Abctcl Company

This branch is located at 228 Masjid Moth in South Ex-2. It’s a busy part of New Delhi and we get all sorts of people walking through the doors. It’s a Cafe Coffee Day, but it’s specifically the division run by the Abctcl company. We spend our shifts making coffee, steaming milk, and trying to keep the tables clean. The lunch rush is usually the hardest part of the day because everyone wants their caffeine at the same time and the noise level gets pretty high. We have some regular customers who come in every morning and we know exactly what they want without them asking. The chairs get moved around a lot by students or people having meetings, so we are constantly straightening things out. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and dealing with the coffee machines when they act up. The air conditioning is usually blasting because it gets so hot outside in South Ex-2. Sometimes we run out of specific snacks and have to tell people we’re waiting on a delivery, which they don't always like. It’s just a normal job in a busy part of the city. We aren't trying to be anything more than a place where you can sit down for a bit and have a drink. The floor gets a bit sticky by the end of the day, but we mop it up and start again tomorrow.
